Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I am not able to open the package?
A. Use scissors and cut fully across either the top or bottom of the package to remove the Digital USB Bible from the package.

Q. Do I need to be connected to the Internet to use my Digital USB Bible?
A. No

Q. I do not see the plug to insert into my computer?
A. Find the side of the USB Bible that does not have the cross on it and locate the slide switch. With your thumb, slide the switch forward from the key chain post to the bottom of the USB Bible and the USB plug will extend from the Digital USB Bible. Push the slide forward until it “clicks” into position.

Q. I do not know how to insert the Digital USB Bible into my computer?
A. Hold the Bible with the cross facing down and insert the plug from your USB Bible into any USB port on your computer. To locate a USB port, search your computers ports for the USB symbol of a dot and three arrows moving from left to right.

Q. I inserted the Digital USB Bible into my computer and nothing happens?
A. Check to insure that the Digital USB Bible is fully inserted into the USB port on your computer. To confirm that it is properly inserted, check for the USB symbol on your screen. If it is properly inserted and nothing happens on your screen, repeat the process and try re-booting your computer.

Q. I see the Digital USB Bible icon but the program does not open.
A. Click on the Digital USB Bible icon, which should open to a blue page asking you to select a language. You are ready to start using your Digital USB Bible.

If nothing happens when you click on the Digital USB Bible icon, you will need to launch the program manually for the first time.

• Go to MY COMPUTER located under the START function of your computer
• Click on MY COMPUTER
• Computer index will appear
• Click on the Digital USB Bible image/or Index.htm

Q. I do not know how to select a language?
A. Using your mouse move the curser to either the English or Spanish icon and click on your selection. This will open the Digital USB Bible in the language of your choice with the Table of Contents on the left side of the screen and 1st book of the Bible Genesis

Q. I do not know how to go to another book?
A. Using your mouse move the curser to any book you want to open, and click on it. Depending on your screen settings, you may need to scroll up or down to find the book you want.

Q. I do not know how to view the entire book?
A. Using your mouse go to the scroll function located to the right of the text window, click and hold it down which will enable you to scroll up or down.

Q. I do not know how to search for a specific word?
A. Type your specific word into the box marked HIGHLIGHT TEXT and then click on the box marked SEARCH

Q. I tried to search a word and nothing happens?
A. Go back to the opening blue page by clicking on the BACK button. In the toolbar area you should see a sentence asking if you want to run scripts or ActiveX function, click on this sentence and then click on OPTIONS and then ALLOW BLOCKED CONTENT Click on any book in the Table of Contents. Now you can enter a word into the “Highlight Text” box and then click on the box marked SEARCH. This will highlight in yellow all words you selected within that book. It might be necessary for you to scroll down to see all the highlighted words in that book.

Q. May I search a word through the entire Digital USB Bible?
A. The Digital USB Bible will only seek a word within a specific book. You will need to select one book prior to using the search and highlight function.

Q. I tried searching a word and nothing happens?
A. The digital bible will only find single word or a string of words that are in line in the text. As an example, to find “Mary and Joseph”, you will need to first search Mary in a specific book and then Joseph in the same book. To find specifically “Mary and Joseph” you will need to be in the book of Luke as the string matches the text. Luke (2:16)

Q. I tried searching a word in a book that I know contains the text and nothing happens?
A. The digital bible does not populate the search into a new window. In order to find the word you seek, you may need to scroll up and down the text window to find the highlighted word.

Q. I tried searching by Chapter and Verse and nothing happened?
A. You will need to submit the entire three digit number with colon to highlight the chapter and verse (example: 001:023)

Q. Is it safe to remove my Digital USB Bible from my computer at any time?
A. It is strongly recommended to double click the icon SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE on your toolbar and follow the computer’s instructions.

Q. Is it ok to carry my Digital USB Bible keychain with me?
A. Yes it is safe to carry with you, however, make sure the USB plug is in the closed position while not in use.

Q. Is there any necessary maintenance for my Digital USB Bible?
A. No, just be careful to protect it from direct contact with liquid.

Q. May I add personal files onto the Digital USB Bible?
A. The Digital USB Bible is a “fixed” USB. It will not allow additional files.

Q. May I use my Digital USB Bible in any other computer or laptop?
A. Yes you may use your Digital USB Bible in any computer you choose. Simply follow the same few installation steps.

Q. How do I get back to the main screen from a previous screen?
A. Click on the back or forward button located in your toolbar. In some cases depending on the number of screens you’ve viewed, it may be easier to reconnect the USB.

Q. I clicked on a book, but there is no text?
A. The USB may defective. Please contact Customer Service for a replacement.
